A widely popular aster in the mid-Atlantic and rightly so. Compact, bushy foliage is attractive all summer and is covered with lavender-blue flowers in fall that keep the butterflies hanging around. Use in native plant gardens, mixed borders, containers or in mass plantings. 18” tall and wide foliage is tolerant of poor, dry soils. Note: the leaves are fragrant when crushed.
