With its deeply branching, dark green, somewhat glossy leaves, 'Leading Lady Plum' boasts magenta purple blooms that are surrounded by deep blackish purple bracts. The petals are open and a thin mist with dark purple dots develops. A secondary flush of flowers emerges above the first flush when it reaches full bloom, extending the color display throughout midsummer.
