Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Red' is a densely branching perennial with large, intensely burgundy red flowers that measure 6 to 8 inches wide. The enormous flowers, which bloom constantly from midsummer to fall, are ornamented with prominent, projecting, creamy-white stamen tubes. Although each flower only lasts for one day, until the end of the season, new blossoms open each day in quick succession. The underside of the foliage's widely elliptical, dark green leaves is white.
