The semi-evergreen, mat-forming Lamium maculatum 'Red Nancy' (Spotted Dead Nettle) is distinguished by its foliage, which consists of heart-shaped, silvery-green leaves with fine green edges. Small, hooded, rich purple-pink flowers appear intermittently in the late spring and early summer on reddish-tinged stems. Spotted Dead Nettle is a great groundcover for areas that are partially shaded because of its long bloom period and colorful foliage. Evergreen in regions with mild winters.
