Sedum 'Wildfire'

Hylotelephium 'Wildfire'

Sedum 'Wildfire' (Stonecrop), a mat-forming perennial with an abundance of meaty burgundy leaves accented with bright red margins, is well known for its magnificent variegated foliage throughout the season. When mass-planted, this sedum variety, which is quite thick and well-branched, does not split open in the summer and produces a vibrant ground cover that suppresses weeds. In late summer to early fall, clusters of enormous, cherry-colored, starry flowers emerge atop short, upright stalks. An excellent selection for pots, gravel gardens, and rockeries. 'Wildfire' is evergreen in warm regions and is drought tolerant.
